qft. the price on these should be pretty stable too as not many people are going to be maxing the title anytime soon and there really isnt any way for them to be mass farmed.

Nerf glyph of swiftness to ele spells only and cut 10 seconds off shadowform the build is basically a "Use me for easy monies".

Have Anet remove the Gold cap limit this way Ectos can be seen as a Material for armor instead of a Commodity.............I will always blame Anet for Ectos being used as a commodity because they took there sweet time to do something about Bots.

I say let people farm as much as they want to, when ectos drop enough, they'll stop farming.

assassins have other powerful builds to let them wreck and destroy PvE (Mobieus+Death Blossom, Scythe Sins yea yea?)
Invincible ? Not really. If you pick your location properly then you will have no (or little) chance of dying while running the perma sf build but the same is true of many farming builds.

My earth ele farming build is no less, "invincible," when used properly in locations that maximize that build's strengths while minimizing its weaknesses. The same is true for farming builds I use on my Mesmer, Ranger, Warrior, Necro, and Monk. None of them have been quite as profitable as my perma SF Assassin but that isn't a function of the invincibility of the build, rather it is because the location that maximizes the perma SF strengths whle minimizing its weaknesses happens to have a large number of foes that drop ectos.

If undead dropped ectos would we be calling for a nerf of the 55 monk ? If char dropped ectos would we be calling for a nerf of the 600/smite combo ? Etc, etc, etc, ad infinitum.

Stop your whining damnit, I think if people want to farm with this, go farm with this, ecto prices drop, but they will go up since favor is running out anyways. Ecto farming gets boring really wuickly, and even so, if they ahve that much money, what're they gonna do with it?
And people that really want it nerfed only want so because they either don't have a pve sin, or they can't make that much money that fast. JEALOUSY
I play alot of Terra E/A for UW, and I think it's very fun to do, not that easy, not that hard, but it's the first time, since a looong time that I've really enjoyed anything in GW, it all gets so boring so quickly.
I don't really care about the money at all, my stor was full before I started this. The UW speed runs take TEAMWORK, not alot takes teamwork no mroe in GW, since heroes and stuff were inserted.

Nothing. Same thing I think of the ones that do farm ectos.

Though, I had a good lol when I logged in the other day and saw ectos were down to 3.5k.

Jealous of what? At this point, the game is so friggin' easy you'd have to be a damn vegetable to not be able to do anything you want in it. Anybody who could farm before and was "jealous" that it's so easy now has more than enough skill to launch Factions, spend the 2 days it takes to get to 20, cap SF and buy the remaining skills or tomes. Some of us aren't entertained by blank walls, however, and can't just sit rotting our brains by doing it.

But, yea, you go ahead and run with "jealousy". Makes it easier to weed out the people I don't need to pay attention to in the future.

Why does noone care about the fact that Permaform (permanent maintainance of Shadow Form) was possible even before the buff with the use of Arcane Echo? Not sure if it worked to run through Twin Serpent though, with all the Nature's Renewal spirits everywhere... would probably need another defensive skill for the run...

Because the old permaform build had next to no ability to deal damage.

I could careless that you feel you have "honor" in a video game by not farming ecto with a perma sin.

Find a quater in the street and track down the owner and give it back to them and maybe I'll think highly of you.

It's a video game, who gives a shit.

QFT. Some people have a hard time understanding the word "invincible".

Let's take one campaign, say Factions. Where does SF make me invincible?

How about the city. Yep, invincible, unless the area has one of these foes:

Am Fah Marksman - [Spike Trap] [Viper's Nest]
Am Fah Necro - [Barbed Signet]
Jade Brotherhood Mesmer - [Signet of Disruption] [Unnatural Signet]
Jade Brotherhood Mage - [Double Dragon]
Jade Brotherhood Ritualist - [Ancestor's Rage]
Temple Guardian - [Bed of Coals] [Double Dragon]
Afflitced Monk - [Retribution]
Any Afflicted - [Afflicted Soul Explosion]
Shiro'ken Mesmer - [Shatter Hex]
Shiro'ken Ele - [Burning Speed]
Shiro'ken Rit - [Vengeful Weapon]
Any Shiro'ken - [Song of the Mists]

Well, I'm not exactly invincible in the city. I bet I am in Echovald Forest, right? Oh, unless the area has any of these foes:

Stone Rain - [Shockwave] [Teinai's Wind]
Stone Soul - [Signet of Rage] [Smite Hex] [Stonesoul Strike]
Warden of the Trunk/Tree - ["None Shall Pass!"]
Warden of the Leaf/Branch - [Lacerate] [Spike Trap] [Brambles] [Barbed Trap]
Warden of Earth - [Shockwave]
Warden of the Spirit - [Shatter Hex]
Blood Drinker - [Vampiric Spirit]
Fungal Wallow - [Vampiric Bite]
Stone Scale Kirin - [Tainted Flesh]
Luxon Warrior - ["None Shall Pass!"]
Luxon Necromancer - [Well of the Profane]
Luxon Assassin - [Iron Palm]
Mantis Stormcaller - [Teinai's Crystals]
Pain Hungry Gaki - [Destruction] [Clamor of Souls]
Afflicted, as above

Yikes. So for invincibility, I need to go to the Jade Sea. Oops, unless the area has:

Outcast Deathhand - [Plague Touch] [Death Nova] [Putrid Explosion]
Naga Ritualist - [Ancestor's Rage] [Grasping Was Kuurong] [Destruction]
Island Guardian - [Signet of Judgment]
Rot Wallow - [Vampiric Bite]
Rockhide Dragon - [Aftershock] [Teinai's Wind]
Saltspray Dragon - [Inferno] [Lightning Touch]
Creeping Carp - [Expunge Enchantments]
Jade Torn Kirin - [Hex Breaker]
Yeti (Ranger) - [Viper's Nest]
Yeti (Rit) - [Vengeful Weapon]
Kurzick Assassin - [Iron Palm] [Viper's Defense]
Focus of Hanaku - [Hex Breaker]
Any Shiro'ken, as above
Any Afflicted, as above

Wow, OK. But at least I'm totally invincible on good old Shing Jea! Unless I see a :

Crimson Skull Mender/Healer/Priest - [Signet of Rage]
Sensali Blood/DarkFeather - [Enfeebling Touch]
Red Yeti - [Vile Touch]
Mantid Queen - [Smite Condition] [Smite Hex]
Naga Raincaller- [Lightning Touch]
Grasping Root - [Throw Dirt]
Dragon Lily - [Hex Breaker]
Any Afflicted, as above

And of course, the above list only applies to a SF Sin going solo. Group with allies, and a Sin gets subjected to all manner of AoE splash damage, from [Splinter Weapon] [Chilblains], etc.

Anyone who calls SF "invinciblity" or "God mode" really doesn't understand the game too well.

Because it is so important to farm in Factions. (and I'm not talking about FFF)

SF is imba because it allows to farm in much more areas (well, basically all of UW) whereas it wasn't doable before, and it is easy.

They put scarabs where the griffons used to be, dying nightmares in the UW to deal with 55s... just stick one or two new popup things(maybe a chaos nightmare or rework the current dyings with vamp touch) with natures renewal, EW, leech sig, PBAoE, Signet of Humility, vamp touch, touch of agony+dark aura, ligtning touch, shoch(heck, put a charged blackness patroll on the plains) or any of that, the SF sin still remains viable for tons of other stuff(just like the 55, terras, W/rts, ect) the run is no longer broken, and the price of ecto stabilizes, and we still get to have fun with SF as a viable pve skill.

I haven't tried PSF in the UW yet(I always get lost down there), I've used it to farm tengu for golds, runes and feathers(something a Rt can do too), elite kournans in the fortress of jahai(something a 55 can pull off), various bosses(which SF could always have killed, or various other boss farm builds from the wiki farm section) and blatant farm mobs(trolls, raptors, hulking eles, Charr, ect.) It's not that much more powerful then a 55, it can just farm a few things that would normally strip enchants, but it will get rolled by touch skills, PBAoE, certain spirits and shouts, signets, ect.

With the Dying Nightmares ready to counter many other solo farms, I don't see why assassin's should get by so easily...Signet pop-up anyone? The UW is an area open to every campaign, so why have enemies with only prophecies and core skills? Make it more like Eye of the North...

That's a really good point in a thread about "permasins who DON'T farm ectos".

Also, monsters dont use some PBAoE if there is only 1 enemy in the range. You can notice that attacking Dryders in UW/UW 2.

I agree but I don't think you need to use SF needs to be used all the time and variety is nice.
